I joined the CaseWare Technical Support team in August 2018 after around 15 years of experience in Customer Service roles (including the best part of 10 years with John Lewis). My experience was largely in giving technical advice and troubleshooting, both of which were transferrable to my role at CaseWare.
After assisting with a training project, I secured a secondment as a Training Technician within the Education & Media Team. This later became a permanent position and I am now involved in producing training collateral, presenting webinars, maintaining our social media content and assisting our clients with onboarding and training.
“Working at CaseWare has helped me push myself outside of my comfort zone. I am always learning new things and I know that, if I need help, there is always someone to ask.”
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love music and, depending on my mood, I might be listening to Metallica one minute and then Miles Davis the next. Music has definitely helped when working in isolation as I’ve found it either gives me momentum or relaxes me to help see things clearly.
Weather permitting, I do like a long-distance walk. It’s not unusual, in the summer, for a couple of us to do a 15-20 mile route for fun (via a pub or 2, of course).
I also enjoy watching movies and tv shows but recently I have got back into Airfix (other brands are available) models. Painting a MKIX Spitfire is as relaxing as it is occasionally incredibly frustrating.
What do you enjoy about working for CaseWare?
It might sound like a cliché, but every day is different and that keeps it interesting. There is such a broad range of talent and expertise within the business and there is always someone to ask for help. The variety that comes with what we do does also mean that there are lots of opportunities for learning and progression.
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
A typical day could involve me working on an e-course, carrying out an onboarding call, rehearsing/broadcasting a webinar, planning and recording content for new QuickVids, posting on LinkedIn/YouTube and responding to client queries…
