Tom Griffiths Project Manager

I joined CaseWare 10 years ago as a trainee in the Technical Support Team.  My career started in Frankfurt, Germany where I worked as a games tester for Nintendo for 6 months. I have worked in various departments across the company and in 2019 became CaseWare UK’s first Project Manager after completing my PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification.

"I'm grateful for the career progression opportunities that CaseWare have given me over the years. I am very excited to continue to grow my career with a company that has shown faith in me throughout the years"

How has your career changed since joining CaseWare?
Starting as a trainee in the Technical Support Team, my career has grown along with the company. I was promoted to a supervisor within the Technical Support Team before moving over to the Development Team and becoming a Team Leader for the Desktop Development Team. In 2018 I started studying Project Management and now have a new role as CaseWare's Project Manager, planning, managing and implementing change to the organisation and our clients.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a big motorsport fan and if I am not on the track myself go karting, then it is quite likely that you’ll find me watching a race – whether it’s Formula 1, touring cars,  endurance racing or oval racing, as long as it has 4 wheels then I’ll watch it. I also enjoy eating out, travelling and mountain biking.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?
Importantly, no day starts without a cup of tea! Whilst consuming my tea, the first thing I do is check the statuses of the handful of projects I’d be working on at any one time and check my emails and list my tasks for the day. Although not always possible, where I can, I try to allocate mornings to writing reports, documentation and project planning. I then try to use the afternoons for meetings, calls or facilitating workshops such as brainstorm meetings, which can be with either CaseWare UK staff and/or suppliers for our projects.
